Untouched Beauty (Scarlet Robin in Cradle Mountain) Original Acrylic on Claybord 35cm x 28cm

Natalie’s Inspiration: “It’s so rewarding to paint the gentle harmony between the sheltered forest and this little Scarlet Robin. These robins are  plump and compact birds that like to sit on a perch close to the ground sitting at the ready to fly down to catch its prey. This painting is part of a triptych that celebrates the unique beauty of the pristine temperate rainforest of Tasmania and the stunning birdlife that live amongst it. My original idea was to have the three paintings framed as one, utilising the winding moss covered branches found in the understorey of Cradle Mountain. But as this trio were being painted they all found a strength within their individual format,  so in the end I decided to celebrate the birds diversity by framing them separately”.
