Ovens River Autumnal

I have photographed and painted this area of Bright and the Ovens River many times over the past thirty years . Earlier still our family would holiday in a friend’s cottage near the river and in summer we would float down the river in inflated inner tubes and “Lilos”. Bright is best known for its magnificent display of autumn foliage and colourful walks besides the Ovens. The painting shows a couple enjoying an early morning stroll with the sun’s rays visible in the cool morning air.
