John’s Inspiration: “On one of my trips to rural Australia for painting subjects I came across some old but interesting letter boxes all in a row. Australia Post were trying to standardize the letter boxes, which had been strongly opposed and for the time being left alone. As a bit of a historian as well as an artist I decided to capture their individuality for prosperity. This row of letter boxes found near Goulburn are typical of rural Australia and were just waiting for me to paint them….”
