Morning on the River Whyle Salisbury, England Original Oil 38cm x 31cm on Primed Belgian Linen
Ramon’s Inspiration for this painting: “The River Whyle is a classic southern England chalk stream – it’s champagne clear waters flowing over gravel as it winds its way down a pretty tranquil valley of the Salisbury Plains in Wiltshire. The lovely old oak and beech trees have just started to bud with new growth, their dark branches creating a stark contrast against the misty background of this rural scene in southern England.Sunlight is filtering through the trees, highlighting the grassy banks and reflecting into the still waters at the bend of the river where two children spend time watching the antics of the resident ducks that have made their home in the sheltering branches of the trees that overhang the river.”
