Gordon is entirely self-taught and has utilised his degrees in both Science and History to invent and develop his unique drawing surfaces that are essential in making these beautiful drawings. In recent times he has developed techniques to not only colourise these metalpoints, but also to incorporate gold leaf into the artwork, producing images that are so convincingly realistic that they appear to be colour photographs that will last for thousands of years.
