Ramon’s Inspiration for this painting:”Berrima is an historic village in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales and this little church can be found nestled beneath the pine trees above the park in the centre of the village.  Frosty mornings are frequent in this high altitude and the white covering of frost can often by seen still settled in the shadows well into the morning.The sun has just reached beneath the branches of the old pine trees highlighting the stonework of Holy Trinity Church and creating a bright light effect on the frosted grass where the children are busy gathering pine cones to take home for the evening fire”.
