Natalie’s Inspiration: “This painting is a commissioned artwork for Ashdene, a homewares company that is based in Melbourne.  It is one in a series of four paintings, featuring young iconic Australian animals.  This trio of Laughing kookaburra fledglings was a lot of fun to create, to capture their cheeky personalities was in the forefront of my mind.  I added the Blue Triangle Butterfly for one of the fledglings to look at to display the inquisitive nature of young birds”.
