Natalie’s Inspiration: “One of my favourite aussie animals. I’ve watched these cute little guys in action,  we are lucky to have echidnas on our property.  They are such funny spikey characters and when they are on a mission, nothing will stand in their way. I have come across the occasional Echidna that hasn’t been perturbed by my presence looking for its next tiny morsel of food, (usually white-ants that are in a dead tree stump). Painting this fellow was fun! I also used a wider range of colour tones in this painting,  pushing  my colour knowledge in my artistic journey that little bit further”.
