James Inspiration for this painting:– “This little bird is called Flame for a reason. If they’re about, you will definitely see them, with their extremely bright red orange chest. There is an emotional connection between this pair of admirers as they perch looking directly at each other. Very typical of the New England National Park in the higher altitudes where every limb is covered with a dense covering of lichen, mosses and vines”.
