Natalie’s Inspiration: “While on a trip to Tasmania a few years ago, I was fortunate to stumble across a tiny Pink Robin. I took the opportunity to pause and watch this cute little bird for just a short moment. As an artist, I love revisiting special occasions like this and being able create a painting from this amazing time is so rewarding. This painting is part of a triptych that celebrates the unique beauty of the pristine temperate rainforest of Tasmania and the stunning birdlife that live amongst it. My original idea was to have the three paintings framed as one, utilising the winding moss covered branches found in the understorey of Cradle Mountain. But as this trio were being painted they all found a strength within their individual format, so in the end I decided to celebrate the birds diversity by framing them separately”.
