John’s Inspiration: “This painting of the Provencial Village of Ramatuelle is the result of a family holiday in Provence. We fell in love with this beautiful village. We attended its famous Farmers Market and ate in one of its friendly local restaurants. The village is situated high up in the mountains near St Tropez, it has a long past and its narrow streets and buildings were a protection against potential aggressors.”
