John’s Inspiration: “This idyllic scene on the banks of the Hawkesbury River on the Central Coast NSW takes us back to a time when the pace of life was slower. Technology had not yet brought out so many distractions as we find today and the simple pleasures we enjoyed were fishing off a pier at night under a full moon, sitting around a fire and waiting for the camp oven to finish cooking our evening meal. The moon is on the rise and its light is reflected in the water creating a magical sparkle. I am sure many of us can relate to this scene either as children or parents and grandparents.
Instead of video games, iPhones and the contents of the home being brought along to the site, we would enjoy each other’s company, swim, bushwalk, play cricket or football and retire thoroughly exhausted but happy at the end of a very full day. These memories are priceless”.
