Natalie’s Inspiration: “A few years ago, I painted a small block painting of a brushtail possum, it was so enjoyable to paint and I nearly kept the painting for myself! Anyway, the reference photo was taken by Robert Pyne, a nature photographer. He actually had a series of photographs of this cute little possum, and this sleepy shot was a shot that I was always drawn to. Working on such a peaceful painting is so beautiful and calming. I hope that those same emotions are felt by anyone who views this sleepy brushtail possum painting”.
