Riverbank Reflections – Southern Highlands NSW Original Oil 23cm x 31cm on Primed Belgian Linen
Ramon’s Inspiration for this painting: “The Wingecarribee River runs through the little township of Berrima in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. Just before Berrima Bridge the river slows to form ponds and small pools – home to platypus and wild ducks – before it continues on its way to the Wingecarribee Gorge. A Summer’s day and the little girls are taking refuge from the sun, sitting on the old dray to throw sticks in the water and watch the resident ducks. The colours of the surrounding bushland can be seen reflected in the river’s calm waters.”
