Robyn’s Inspiration: “This painting was a subject I have been waiting to paint. It was always a stunning and beautiful spot prior to the 4 lots of devastating floods that have hit the area. Although I am painting a visual diary of the floods, I really wanted to remember it the way it used to be. It holds special significance for me in many ways. I have spent many hours painting and visiting with significant people in my life which were memories to be treasured. Now, I have visited as early as possible after each flood to document the damage. Strangely it has its own interest – even after devastation – and I am enjoying my new journey of painting”.
