Life in Paradise (Buff Breasted Paradise Kingfisher) – SOLD

Natalie’s Inspiration:: “My inspiration for this painting came from my love for Australian Kingfishers and that I have never painted a Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher before. I just love their large eyes and happy smiling faces. The colours of this beautiful birds drew me in as well. Having a palette consisting of colours from  opposite sides of the colour spectrum can  be fun to paint in. I haven’t been fortunate enough to see these little guys in the wild as they are migratory birds. They visit North Queensland in the summer months to breed then head back to New Guinea in April to October.  I have to thank David White that lives in Far North Queensland for giving me permission to use his amazing reference photo”.
