Robyn’s Inspiration: “I have been painting Hawks Nest and Jimmys beach for at least 25 years. At times the early morning sea mist used to come up from the ocean and create a mystical, soft effect. I have not seen it like that on many occasions but this was one of them. Usually, I paint dunes in the afternoon light when the shadows are strong and blue and the sand ripples are emphasised. This morning at Jimmys Beach was exceptional but the moment is always fleeting and not long after this the mist cleared to a perfectly fine and sunny day and the moment was gone. Sometimes you just have to be lucky”.
