Rocks and Dancing Light (Freycinet Tasmania) Original Oil on Canvas board 41cm x 61cm
Robyn’s Inspiration: “The colours and the form and the light playing on these rocks turned them into assorted jewels for me. I love portraying the glowing movement of sunlight from the top of the water and the rainbows created underneath but the light on the rocks won my interest and I just had to paint it. The Freycinet area in Tasmania offers great snorkelling experiences and very different to the warmer reefs I am used to.
Imagine strolling on a white sandy beach on a gorgeous day, looking out on a stunning ocean coastline and a surrounding quaint town. If this sounds like the scene from a movie, it’s not. It’s just one of the jaw-dropping views offered in Tasmania’s Freycinet National Park. Located on the island’s east coast, Freycinet National Park is one of the most photographed regions of Tasmania for a good reason. When I think about the scenic granite mountaintops and the secluded bays on in the park – it’s truly a nature lover’s paradise. Whether you’re a beachgoer, an avid hiker or wildlife enthusiast, this national park has something to offer you”.
