Ann’s Inspiration: “Painted and inspired from a friends garden. I was drawn to the rich velvety colours of these amazing flowers. I did not wish to crowd the composition, but rather gave the vase of irises space in the painting. The vases are my much loved Greg Daly ceramics, with their wonderful glazes and intriguing gold detail. I have worked to create an elegant serenity in this image”.
