Ty
Beanie Babies
were released at a USA toy fair in 1993 and are the invention
of Ty Warner. They are made of lovely soft fabric and are
about 21cm high. They are filled with special weighed filling,
which means you can pose them. They cost just $8.00 each
(Australian dollars).
You
will pay more for some Country Exclusives and secondary
market pieces. The quality is high, with non-toxic hand
painted eyes and noses secured with lock washers, anti-allergy
colour fast and washable fabric. They each have a birth
date and poem on their red heart shaped tag. All the bears
and animals are intentionally designed to portray an innocence.
Beanie
Babies are collected and sought after worldwide and are
now available in Australia. Some rare Ty Beanies have brought
up to $10,000 on the secondary market.

and animals. They make fantastic gifts. Find one with the
same birthday as you own, the same name as your best friend,
their favourite animal or buy one as a gift 'Just Because'
or to say 'I Love You'. My little nephew loves the dogs.
He tries to carry all 23 of them around in his arms at once!
