Natalie Parker
Wildlife Artist
Acrylic on Kaolin Clay Coated Board
While working in the hospitality industry, Natalie took two of her paintings to a gallery next door to her place of work. They agreed to hang her work and within a week her paintings of wildlife studies on wood veneer began to sell. The gallery was Morpeth Gallery. It was at this point that Natalie decided to paint wildlife full time. After 3 months, Trevor asked Natalie to work towards a solo exhibition. Held in June 1996 with 31 paintings for sale, after preview night only three paintings remained unsold. The 4 day exhibition was a complete sell out and 28 commissions were received! Natalie Parker exhibitions held since are always a sell out!
Since this time Natalie’s career has blossomed. Her works are available nationally as open and limited edition prints, Bradford Exchange Plates and calendars. Natalie has more than 15 images produced onto mugs, trays, placemats, coasters and napkins by Australian company Ashdene. Natalie has also illustrated and written 7 published children’s books, that feature adventures of Australian wildlife characters.
Born in Sydney, 1971 Natalie resides on her property in the Hunter Valley, with husband and manager Paul and children. The bush setting gives her ample inspiration for her paintings. Because Natalie can only paint a maximum of 27 paintings per year, her original artworks are sought after. |
