Morpeth Gallery - Current Exhibition

Leonardo da Vinci’s drawing technique in 24ct pure gold, revived at Morpeth. Recently, Queensland artist and scientist Gordon Hanley has resurrected this 15th century technique and has been creating Metalpoint works drawn in both Pure Silver and 24ct gold, and several in 24ct gold only. Because gold doesn’t tarnish, these drawings will remain unchanged for hundreds if not thousands of years.
