Festival of Two Palettes
Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th March 2017
10am till 5pm
5 Green Street, Morpeth NSW 2321
It’s that time of the year when a dozen of Australia’s best landscape and wildlife artists will travel from around the country to descend on Morpeth Gallery for the Festival of Two Palettes.
Morpeth Gallery has been home to the world famous, Australian landscape artist John McCartin for 12 years, and is the only gallery in Australia where you can see his stunning works. However if you are travelling overseas you can see his originals in Gallery France, in France, and the Trailside Gallery in USA.
John is one of world’s finest artists. He has won multiple awards internationally and throughout Australia as a full time professional painter.
Last year he was named ‘Master Painter of the World’ and took home 10 prizes in the 2016 American Art Awards bringing his total number of International Awards to 52 in the last three years.
John’s work including landscapes and still life paintings attract an increasing amount of attention, and demand continues to grow for his work as it becomes more expensive as the pressure for his work outstrips supply.
Among the artists who will be spending the weekend at the gallery are John Vander, Werner Filipich, Ramon Ward-Thompson, John McCartin, John Bradley, Natalie Jane-Parker, James Hough, Garry Fleming and Ann Morton will all be at the gallery, paintbrush in hand, both Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th March and entry is free.
The newest addition to our gallery, seascape artist Robyn Collier will be at the gallery on Sunday along with botanical artist Heidi Willis.
You will have the chance to meet these incredible artists and see how they create their works in our relaxed and informal gallery.
